The portfolio piece 7 created is a technology tool called wiki. Wiki can be used in the classroom to make the environment more enjoyable. In creating this tool, I encountered a few challenges. I was unable to get a living and nonliving worksheet unto wikis and I was unable to insert more than one picture unto a page. To get the worksheet, I tampered and tampered but I could not get it the way I wanted. However, I decided to use the link to the worksheet instead. The other problem was not resolved. I would like to recommend more assignments and games on living and nonliving thing. Activities like these will keep the students active in the learning process.
Wikis is an excellent technology tool for the classroom. I look forward to use this tool in the future.

Wikis Reflection
Video Reflection
The portfolio piece 6 created is a video presentation on "Living and Nonliving Things". This was done using Windows Movie Maker Program. The video presentation will be used as an introduction to the lesson. Teachers can utilize videos to enhance students learning within the classroom.
In creating the video presentation, I struggled a bit to have it completed. I was unable to get captions on all of the pictures. To overcome this problem, I spent hours tampering with the program until I was able to get it done. Another challenge encountered was finding a suitable song for my video. This problem is still in existence. In order to have an audio on my video I had to search for a suitable instrumental song.
To improve this video, I would recommend more captions to identify the pictures. Also, I would recommend a more child friendly audio.

How video can improve classroom instructions?
Video is an excellent tool that teachers can use in their classroom instructions. Students can see history as it happens. It expose them to information that they will never get in the regular classroom resources. Students retain the information and they are more enthusiastic to learn. Video can reach the students who preferred learning style is visual. It can use to develop students understanding through examples and illustrations. Thus, enhancing the lesson. It can also be used to reinforce a lesson that was done by the teacher.
How wikis can be used to improve classroom instructions?
The wikis technology tool can be used as a classroom instruction in several different ways. Teachers can use wikis in their classroom when giving group assignments and projects. Those students who have internet outside the school environment can work together and complete their assignments and projects. Wikis can also be used for additional learning resources for the classroom. These learning resources can be full of activity and games that gets the children engaged at home and even at school.

SPECTACULAR AND INVITING
Finally, I am beginning to enjoy blogging and I know that once I begin to use this as an educational tool my pupils will have a whole lot of fun with it. The only problem I can foresee with using it as an educational tool is that not all pupils or parents will be able to access it since some do not have internet or computer access. However, I do look forward to using it with my pupils.
I am also finding your blog rather inviting with all its bright and spectacular colours. I like the background, find your posts very educational and in keeping with the whole ICT integration into education concept. I especially like your idea of using the blog as a means of creating a voice for pupils who are less vocal in class. It is an idea that I've never thought of and so I'm proud to say that I've learnt from you. Thanks for your posts; you are doing a brilliant job.
